S igned a petition earlier on the proposal to criminalise
marital rape in singapore. here: say no to rape please sign it lovely ladies (and yes men, if you do relate and have a tight grip of morals).
my personal statement:
I feel strongly that any forceful attempts and violence made towards women sexually, whether they are your wives or not, is equally nefarious and a serious violation of women's rights. Sex is supposed to be under mutual agreement even under the law of marriage. No women shall be resorted to violent and non-consensual sex by her husband which could at times be as psychologically destructive as being raped by any other person. The harm left is immense and can be severely damaging to one's emotional wellbeing, possibly resulting in depression or suicidal thoughts as this is a serious breach of trust in the union of a couple.
by any definition and in any circumstance rapist is still a rapist = rapist = rapist!

says: hi love. i just reached the big 2-0 in life and decided to return to dee blog after an almost 5 months hiatus. prior to being an undergrad, i said life has been treating me quite kindly. but now, bell curves rule my life and its giving me more hell than ever. although sometimes i get sick of being an urbanite facing all these much consumerism and debauchery, im also pretty ironic. so i do yearn for fancy little dresses or that teacake session in the quaint cafe from time to time. at other times, i just want to chill over a good mug of beer (no more ugly liquer shots which almost ruined my life). i guess it all boils down to the mood and the crowd. the safest bet is to put me in your quirky and random list. food and dance is the passion and chilling out is my luxury. did i mention i love people with a good sense of humour? :)
