Singapore's top criminal lawyer Subhas Anandan came to our school today as one of the distinguised speakers our principal had madly tried to invite. It was thought that he didn't want to come initially but after much hassling from the principal he finally came. Anyway we were all pretty excited still. It was really hilarious how the teachers were goddamned nervous when inviting him to stage by stuttering on words and even spilt a glass full of ice.
Anyway, I must admit he's such a quirky fellow. One of the many funny moments of today's assembly was when he opened the can of diet coke which he specially requested halfway while the principal was talking, happily poured into his cup and drank it. He's just like this laid back kindof guy who turns professional when it comes to work.
Moreover he mentioned that if we, need just any sort of help from him (except financial), we can always go and look for him and he'll be happy to help us. oh how kind is that!

says: hi love. i just reached the big 2-0 in life and decided to return to dee blog after an almost 5 months hiatus. prior to being an undergrad, i said life has been treating me quite kindly. but now, bell curves rule my life and its giving me more hell than ever. although sometimes i get sick of being an urbanite facing all these much consumerism and debauchery, im also pretty ironic. so i do yearn for fancy little dresses or that teacake session in the quaint cafe from time to time. at other times, i just want to chill over a good mug of beer (no more ugly liquer shots which almost ruined my life). i guess it all boils down to the mood and the crowd. the safest bet is to put me in your quirky and random list. food and dance is the passion and chilling out is my luxury. did i mention i love people with a good sense of humour? :)
