It was a pity I didn't bring my camera along, for I possibly just had my most fancy meal in my life!

So. Just a few hours ago, i had my dinner with mum, aunts and cousins at this japanese restaurent called Shima at the goodwood park hotel. The place was cozy, dimly lit, teppanyaki-styled and tucked away at the corner of the hotel. Our waitress reminded me of some actress in the old japanese movies and all were dressed in full kimono suits.

At about time, our sashimi appetiser came. All of us had a plate of varied sashimi each including an oyster and super big headed prawn. I had quite some difficulty trying to finish them for i wasnt the biggest fan of all things raw like my pretty cousin Mabel. Anyway boy, were they the freshest sashimi i ever tasted! It was also the first time where i ate wasabi that didn't came from tubes, which wasn't really hot.

Then, the teppanyaki chef came and begin our courses. The first few dishes were all a lobster affair. We had to turn our heads at our own cruelty when he cooked the live lobsters :X. Managed to try some fried lobster heads, steamed lobster meat and i swear, lobster meat bathed in liquer.

I shall skip the next few dishes to The One.. My first and only One in my life (other than the paste i tried at some buffet years before :(). Oh what could it be than my first big slab of Foei Gras (goose liver). Tantalizing, i tell you. Man, it just made me salivate :x gloob. There was a slight standard liver kind-of taste across all animals that makes you know you're eating a liver but boy, i also tasted good beef and chicken in it(alright maybe i was a little too full by then, regrets):X Anyway it has a piquant taste, or some may say, it was orgasm in the tongue.

Next up was the Wagyu Beef! It was such a tease to our tastebuds with its really nice to chew texture and for once, you feel like devouring oily stuff wasnt a sin because it probably is some good oil generated from a lifetime of luxurious hobbies like massages, exercises, sake wine and spas.

By then, i was as full as a bloated tortured goose (yes i know, cruel us) and all things tasted chicken to me. even the canale chocolate birthday cake.

Receipt came at 2000+for10heads. Well i can't say it was my best dinner, nor was it extravagent because every money was well spent into quality food.
I just had a really fulfilling (both stomach and soul) meal.

Come save me from walking off a windowsill Or I'll sleep in the rain

says: hi love. i just reached the big 2-0 in life and decided to return to dee blog after an almost 5 months hiatus. prior to being an undergrad, i said life has been treating me quite kindly. but now, bell curves rule my life and its giving me more hell than ever. although sometimes i get sick of being an urbanite facing all these much consumerism and debauchery, im also pretty ironic. so i do yearn for fancy little dresses or that teacake session in the quaint cafe from time to time. at other times, i just want to chill over a good mug of beer (no more ugly liquer shots which almost ruined my life). i guess it all boils down to the mood and the crowd. the safest bet is to put me in your quirky and random list. food and dance is the passion and chilling out is my luxury. did i mention i love people with a good sense of humour? :)

Gossips!
